as there is an intermediate signal i was convinced that is possible to send two trains but this evening i had tried and only when the first train arrives at KBRO on left track is possible to send another train from KAND . So i think that intermediate signal is only for the protection of RR Crossing at Namedy but there is only a block section on left track.

Is this correct ?

Good evening

Why in Andernach panel there is signal (in germany named Vorsignale) after main signal P2 (but the question can exist for all other starting signals towards Brohl) and the same thing is not on Weissenthurm side. On Weissenthurm panel block signal 41 has is own Vorsignale but why this vorsignale is not present also on KAND Panel. What is the criterium to put signals on panels ?

Some time ago, when usually i worked simulation of the family Project Rheingold "stand alone" for delayed trains the line of train graph was late not for the entrance station but only for the simulated signal box and sorting station (i.e. in Andernach a train delayed from Klobenz had line not late at Weissenthurm, delayed at Andernach and Brohl)

The question now is . If i work in line operation with project rheingold timetable and i connect 2 signal box at Andernach (Weissenthurm and Brohl) this representation now is correct ?

having to consult Brohl panel (Thanks Erwin !) i have a question to ask to Richard

In Brohl-Andernach direction all sections are on Andernach Panel (111+33+35+37+39).While for train toward Brohl sections are in order : 02+40+38+36 and 34.

02 is the first block section and is correctly on Andernak panel but why after 02 there is 36 while the exact sequence is another ?

I have started to play with this simulation this afternoon, and I have a couple of questions...

I started the timetable on Monday, around 5:00 (tried a couple of times).

1.) On track 24 there is the 7204 standing with a shunt driver. Can't change the shunt driver to train driver, why? I have tried to give the orders via yard master and phone too, but the orders disappear.

2.) Can't set train route from N24 in direction 101 - why? According to the blinking pink circles it should work. Do I need to take additional special actions? OHLE...

3.) I tried to set exit for 7204 from N24 towards 041; after clearing the N24 I revoked the route. The status and location of 7204 did not change (Ready for dep., Gleiss 24), but the occupancy (red dashes) disappeared from the panel. As next step I could set a route from ESig G to Gl. 24 and accept 7203 without problems. According to the TC occupancy lights 7203 crossed the "ghost" 7204 and pulled up to the end of the track. According to the Train overview window both trains were standing on Gl.24. This happened once, could not repeat...

4.) I have tested the route settings and releasing from ESig. G to several targets. It seems that there is a mix between shunt and train routes. If I first set a shunt route to the target signal, then I overset it with a train route, I can reset the entire train route by resetting the shunt route with FRT instantly, uncounted, with train approaching(!!!). Is this intentional?

5.) After revoking a route from ESig. G once the base lamp (Festlegemelder - I don't know the English name:) remained on. A route from the signal could be set, but the signal did not clear (although the shunt signals did clear along the route). Finally I could reset the Festlegemelder with SBRT. What does the Festlegemelder without a route mean?

6.) Differing from other shunt signals setting a route from W61 to any targets W61 does not clear (only tested without train) - is it intentional? Are there different kind of shunt signals?

7.) Fleeting can be enabled on several signals (without feedback lamp); this will lead to warning buzzer in case if a train is approaching to the signal. Is this intentional?

8.) Gs III does not close after revoking a route from 22 to W65 - is it intentional?

And finally a general question:

8.) What is the purpose of the black buttons placed on straight tracks (not the switch-buttons).

9.) What is the rationale behind overlap-handling? I mean revoking overlaps always needs the handle of DHT (which is counted therefore needs to be documented), even when the route itself can be reset with FRT.

- If there is train approaching, I anyway need to use (and document) the FHT, this could reset the overlap too (overlaps make no sense without route);

- If there is no train approaching, no documentation needed for resetting the route, it would be logical to be possible to apply DHT to the overlap too.

Please is there someone that can explain to me what that little blue circle near the yellow triangle and EAT button means . I noticed that in KAN simulation the circle become blue when i set a route but while train direct to south arrive at Wiessenthrum the blue circle go off (dark) for trains direct to north (Brohl) the circle remain blue even if train arrive at Brohl and disappear from the simulation. There is a specify reason for this difference ?

i'm reading the eisenbahnatlas SCHWEERS+WALL page 75. Andernach is at km 73.2 and Weissenthurm at km 76.9. If i look at Andernach stellwerke toward south to the right there is only a block section (41) with main signal and separate distant signal (the same situation for train coming from Weissenthurm to Andernach on left track).

Instead for trains on right track coming from Weiss to andernach there are 2 block section (40 and 42 and all signals have main and distant signal on the same plate)

If normally main signal and distant signal are 1000 mt. of distance this can be right (km 73,2 + 1000mt + 1000mt + meters beetween main signal of Weissenthurm and Weissenthurm bahnof). To the south all is ok.

But if i look at north side i dont understand. If the first station is Brohl, Brohl is at km 65.7. and for trains coming toward north on the right track there are only 2 block section (38 and 36 with distant signal i think). In this case two section are at maximum 3600/4000 mt but and not 7500 meters as distance from Andernach to Brohl.

Please Richard. help me to understand this

Thanks

Hello,

Although this is not my first signalling simulation, I'm not familiar with rail operations in North Europe, so I have some questions.

1 - What is the "steering number"?

2 - Every so often you see a train bound from the port (Hafengleis) to Andernach track 6. Once it comes, is listed as "Ready to depart" but has no time of departure or destination (Andernach (KAND)). I've looked at the timetable but there is no departure service with that train. What I do with that train? where it goes? No ordes given to that train.

3 - Somewhat similar trains from Koblenz. For example, the service 59510 to Andernach track 5, once it arrives the engine uncouple and turns around waiting to couple with cars w59613 in track 6. Where is w59613? What I do with cars w59510?

4 - How to get a shunt locomotive for yard operations?

I´ve been viewing manual and wiki but I don´t find information about this. I tried to renumber the w59510 cars but I only get the number in panel (not the cars himself).

Someone can help?

Thank you.

i have a dvd with a cab ride from Koblenz to Bonn and i noticed that sorting from Weissenthurm there are two block section as really represented in Andernach stellwerke (040 and 042). 202 and 201 seems to be stations track so to have a train announce in time to keep green signals for fastest trains without brake release. I think that for the maximum realism of simulation in Andernach timetable it would be very interesting to simulate trains stops at Weissenthurm on gleis 201 because now all trains passing at Weissenthurm dont stop. Is this a possible feature to introduce in the next future ?

Ciao

I have a problem. for the first time this evening i tried to couple car with shunt loco. Now i go to the beginning.

I have a train named 4 42125 with loco BR151 and 20 Eaos. Train arrives in Track 005. Pheraps i 'm wrong in command sequence. I can uncouple (for example last 10 cars) but what number i must assign to this 10 cars if i want to start train with lok and others 10 cars for Weissentrum. My intention is to couple this 10 Eaos with shunt loco 290 and to put cars in 008 tracks. But is impossible for me to couple lok 290 with this 10 Cars. If i want to shunt my cars on Andernach tracks why i'm obliged to give train number when i couple shunt lok with cars ?

Thanks for reply

Here text of an old my thread on forum Bonn Hbf. I ask Richard, if possible, as the problem is still present also in Handernach simulation if is possible to delay the graphic line of train from the beginning.

Very Thanks

Diego

Here my old post......................................................................

I have forgotten another thing. When trains are delayed graphic is correct only for bonn time (arriving and starting or passing time) and also for sorting time. For example if a train coming from KBBG to KROI has a starting time at 21:00, Bon passing time is 21:11 and KROI passing time is 21:16 if train is delayed (10 minutes) the line of his timetable starts at KBBG at 21:00 and not at 21:10 but at Bon Hbf train line is written correct at 21:21 and so KROI. Why system do not correct time at stations when train enter in the simulation ?

Good night

Two questions for Richard. Please

i have two questions about dynamic trains behaviour.

All trains starting from Andernach direct to Kruft (Mayen) from block section 101 until Kruft go always with a slow speed while train coming from Kruft have a normal speed (full speed when they starts from Kruft until signal G at Andernach) So train time for trains direct to Kruft is 3 minutes more longer that trains arriving from Kruft (Mayen)...........why this ?

another

trains coming from Brohl reduce speed and release brakes entering in section 111 and have normal behaviour (speed) after passing block section 111. In block section 111 all trains go slow. Why this ?

good evening from Italy
