block sections Andernach-Brohl

having to consult Brohl panel (Thanks Erwin !) i have a question to ask to Richard

In Brohl-Andernach direction all sections are on Andernach Panel (111+33+35+37+39).While for train toward Brohl sections are in order : 02+40+38+36 and 34.

02 is the first block section and is correctly on Andernak panel but why after 02 there is 36 while the exact sequence is another ?

Thanks for the reply

oh, those choices WHY they called it 02 can only be found out with the actual guys who designed it in the 70ies...

No clue and it surely doesn't make sense to me... but that's how it's called....

OK ! Please Richard, for train from Sud to north on train overview i have the train location reporting until it arrives at Brohl ?

yes, for the line operations both signal boxes need to have as most as shared tracks as possible.

What I don't understand myself is descriptor 36... there is a gap in indication between Andernach and Namedy Hp. The 36 is when the train is at/past Namedy.

But that's how it looks on the panel.

yes. it is a strange thing. And also train from KAND direct to North with a scheduled stop fixed in Namedy dont have in reality this stop Pheraps because there is not a block section corresponding to Namedy platform ? Do you consider impossible to modify this and introducing all block section and not only 36 so to have a correct behaviour for passengers local trains at Namedy ?

Good night

the way the panel is now is an EXACT copy of the real panel...... so what should I change, without breaking "reality" of the panel?

I thought only referred to passengers stop at Namedy if with additional block section the problem could be solved . In this way we had two solution in the same way,

1) a panel with all block sections

2) correct train stops at Namedy

Is true that if the first thing is to have a simulation more possible "as reality" my desire is not a must !!

Thanks for your reply as always

A banal question regarding the Andernach–Brohl line: how can I cancel an offered train via ZNP801?

Before you answer,

12345 BRO 038 ANB + ZNS – offering works,

12345 BRO 038 + ZNL – this doesn't work...

What you are doing is correct. It is also described as such in the Wiki.

So to me, it looks like an unwanted feature for this simulation (read: it needs to be resolved)

just noticed that too.... funny thing was that if I set a route again towards that track... the number disappears...

so I think it IS deleted, just not redrawn...

it's on the bug list.

solution for now: assume it's canceled when the ZNP801 got dark too (entry accepted)

Just offer another train and see what happens.
