Issue when loading a saved simulation?

When I save a simulation to continue later, then re-load, when I reload it there are suddenly a great many freight trains (Gag) listed in the Train overview (this morning it was 11) that are added with ETAs in the past hour, which weren't there before I saved. So then to restart suddenly the sim is flooded with these freight trains competing for space. I am running version 3.0.0.25 (just updated this morning) but the sim was saved under a previous version. Has anyone else experienced this behavior?

yep.. might have to do with saving in older version, loading in newer version.

Ok - will start new from scratch, save then reload and report results.

Thanks,

The latest version has a different timetable then the previous versions, in the sense that the *normal* timetable is combined with the *extra freight trains* timetable. This might explain why you get all the extra trains. Normally, the extra trains are activated using activating Traffic Codes. However, you saved sim will be missing the data telling the simulation which this Traffic Codes are active and which are not. Appearantly, the simulation then just loads the entire embedded timetable, which results in what you have seen.

If you are experiencing the same effect with a saved sim from the latest version, then this would indicate that the Traffic Codes are not saved or handled when loaded.

Haven't tested the last myself honestly.

Finally, in general it is recommend to not load sim-files saved of an older version into the newest version. If it loads succesfully, you are lucky, but there always might be side-effects as you have seen yourself :) This is just due to fact that that data parameters as saved in the sim-file might be handled differently in a newer version of the simulation.

More information about the Fax system (http://www.railsigna...index.php/Faxes) and Traffic Codes (http://www.railsigna...p/Traffic_Codes) in the SignalWiki

Edit: Just tested if Traffic Codes being active or not are saved in the sim file. The answer is: they are saved
