US Based Simulation

Featured Replies

Hello,

I am curious how the "US Based Simulation" is coming along? Can you let us know of any of the anticipated features of this implementation? Will it be a US&S CTC relay type, or NX? Very interested in what might be coming down the road, and am hoping that SOMEONE makes a PRR style CTC type machine like those that were in Cola Tower, Perryville Tower, or Edgewood Tower! I am new to these simulations, and am learning the German system with Klienstadt right now... very fascinating! Keep up the great work! :-)

Yes, we're busy with a graphical design at the moment. That's one of the most diffcult parts of a new type of project. We're still investigating functionality, as the graphic design highly depends on that. If we do that wrong from the start, it's a LOT of work to change it.

if you got pics of a PRR style CTC type machine... happy to look into it. :)

But I would love to do NX type of simulations that are based on GRS-NX. But then the graphic flexibility like the Kleinstadt sims.

Thanks for the reply, I'll see what I can dig up for PRR CTC info and send to you. Also, when I was a teenager I remember going to K-Tower in Washington DC, and remembering that they used an NX system for their large terminal area (K, C, and Ivy City area interlockings). I wish I had better photos or info of the machine, but I remember the pushing of entrance then exit for routes, and the (I believe) white route lines that would generate. I'm not too sure if it was a GRS type machine or another, and I don't remember if there was any type of train describer windows with the display, but there must have been. See this link on YouTube at minute 2:35...
