PrEZeX Posted February 14, 2012 Posted February 14, 2012 Hi, It would be nice to have shortcuts to group buttons so it would be possible to make macro keyboards. There is a nice program that makes it possible to have two keyboards attached to pc so that one keyboard is used as normal and the other one can be used as a macro keyboard. The program can be found on http://www.hidmacros.eu/whatisit.php (see the videos on the page and try to imagine a macro group buttons keyboard for SP Dr S60)
signalsoftRC Posted February 14, 2012 Posted February 14, 2012 That's available already... see the pages on the wiki, please. http://www.railsignalling.org/signalwiki/index.php/Running_a_simulation
TjoeTjoe Posted February 14, 2012 Posted February 14, 2012 Shortcuts do exist for those panels which feature the so-called Number Entry Panels For Kleinstadt it could be done as it is a small panel, however .. on the larger panels this does not make sense ... as on those panels the various blocks of Group buttons are dedicated for operating with a specific area on the panel. That would require more shortcuts then ever available. So no, not really an option Erwin
signalsoftRC Posted February 14, 2012 Posted February 14, 2012 The shortcuts do work like a "general" item. Similar to the Group Button Panel. In a real box the Number Entry Panel works (almost) everywhere too. So we took that all in account already :-) enabling the shortcuts for the non-number entry panel type of boxes we might consider a future option. As it is quite a chunk of work to hook it up.
TjoeTjoe Posted February 14, 2012 Posted February 14, 2012 Ah ok, then it might just be that Key Bindings are not present in the Kleinstadt simulation Did not see the xml in the data folder for that. Could be an explanation for it Erwin
PrEZeX Posted February 14, 2012 Author Posted February 14, 2012 Erwin, I didn't meant to shortcut all the group buttons on the switch panel to a macro keyboard. I mainly use the group button window (G key) to manage the panel and I just thought about making shortcuts to those buttons and not to all the duplicates on the board (so only one button for each operation would need to be macroed).
PrEZeX Posted February 15, 2012 Author Posted February 15, 2012 Richard, it would be very nice to have shortcuts for the non-number entry panel buttons and I think it would be easier to use the switchboard that way. Thank you for your previous answer.
signalsoftRC Posted February 15, 2012 Posted February 15, 2012 I'll have a discussion in the team what the impact of work for that is.
PrEZeX Posted February 15, 2012 Author Posted February 15, 2012 That's fantastic, I'm waiting to hear the teams response and decision.
