Remagen little problem

Featured Replies

Having received a train from Koblenz in track 2 at Remagen bahnof i would renumber it on panel (the timetable automatically had changed on Train overview the number from 4 7372 in 77372) but if i write with ZPN801 the number of my new train (an empty stock Remagen-Koblenz Hbf) the number dont appear on track 002 at Remagen but on block section 002 (in ZNP801 i write 77372 R 002 ZNS) , the last on my panel towards Brohl and not on gleis 2 in RE

Is this right ?

Good nigh and thanks in advance for the reply

Is this right ?

No. This is incorrect functionality. The '002' block section is part of the dispacthing area of Brohl, so the number in that window is just for indication.

It should not be possible to change that number.

So, it is a bug, as there are duplicate section numbers on the panel, and the simulation in this case choses the wrong window :-)

OK. i suggest to insert function on ZNP801 of number changing writing the old number then "-" and the new number. In this way is possible to change the number of train arrived in track 002 at Remagen and not on block section near Brohl

Unfortunately, that is not how the ZNP801 system works. And we are trying to simulate things on how they use(d) to work.

The only procedure to replace a train number indication is using the procedure you applied.

Technically spoken: the only what the Signalsoft team needs to do here is to prevent train number windows that actually belong to a neighbouring dispatcher from being changed.

Maybe it can be easily fixed by giving the "Brohl 002" windos another identifier then 002 in the background, as such that the user can never address this window with ZNP

But that is the technical side.

I should correct myself a bit here: there is indeed a function available in the (real) ZNP801 system, that allows replacing a train- or error number by another number.

The sequence for this would be i.e. " 12345 T 67890 "

Unfortunately, the function key 'T' has no functionality in the simulation yet. Could be added to the wish list :)

Hi Guys,

Found this in the Wiki....

Changing an Existing Number

To change an existing number, type the current number, followed by the T button. This adds a dash "–". Then, type the new number. The command string should then look something like this:

12345-56789

Pressing ZNS executes the action.

Is this what you meant Erwin? I'm at work at present so unable to test it.

Ssstttt. This just confirms that even I can lose my mind, and can't actually remember what is actually there, and what is not B)

Should give this try myself as well.

Thanks for the heads up

Erwin
