Can you clarify? I'm not sure what you mean.

Charlie,

I do not have the possibility to verify the current KK sim, as I am on a remote location

However, I think Diego means the assigned zoom-areas (keys 0 through 9) have labels (names) assigned which refer to the Geldenkirchen sim.

Exactly, Erwin tell exactly the problem

Diego,

just had the ability to verify things: I do not see any references to the Gelsenkirchen simulation. Panel navigation labels seem fine to me, i.e. 2 = "Entrance from Deutz", 8 = "S-Bahn KKHRW". (current version at 3.1.0.6)

If you do have such issues, then I can only recommend to reset your Workspace, which can be accessed via the Settings options in the Start window (press all three buttons being available there)

Good to hear that it has worked.

And good to hear that you are also going to operate the larger panels

I remember you said that KK would be to big and busy. Welcome to the madness of approx. 100 trains per hour.

I send you some photos taken last week of stellwerke in north italy where i was working

Looking forward to them. Thanks in advance

i must confess that in KK i work with a light timetable from 1:00 to 4:00 a.m. and only 25 trains for hour !!

Such confession isn't something to feel sorry for.

Köln is very hard to play on your own with the full timetable.

In reality, the panel is operated by three dispatchers, and those dispatchers must take a break after two hours.

Anyway, it is possible to filter out certain train series in the simulation, by means of the ExpertLevels (this is also a feature in Amsterdam CS simulation)

If you like, I could add a ExpertLevels table to the current Köln timetable, which will allow you to have less traffic.

For example: the easiest level could exclude all or almost all S-Bahn and certain RB long-distance trains.

A medium level could be that S-Bahn trains are still not there, but now all long distance trains on the panel.

Just let me know and I will see what I can do on short notice

My friend Erwin. I would like to have not more 20/25 trains for hour if possible. I think that without SBahn traffic and with an high cut for some others trains i will be able to dispatch also Koln. I'm old as you know and old dispatcher (for me 29 year as rail signaller) like very much less traffic to dispatch and if possible without problems ("storung" in German pheraps ?) . As in Italy our politic leaders have madness in their mind only road traffic is important and on rails there are not improvements from 20/30 years. We have all main lines without freight traffic but some millions of track MAN MERCEDES IVECO VOLVO DAF ecc ecc ecc on our high ways . Last night i take the my night duty as dispatcher on an important line toward french border. 30 years ago 40/50 freight trains for night and 5/6 Euronight and some light loco. Today not more 10 freight trains and zero passengers trains. A desolating scenary

Have a good week end

Hi Diego,

I finally found the time to create an inventory of the current KK timetable. That is: identifying which train services are more or less there, if they do run in a frequent pattern, if they move in or out of Bf, turning around etc. Quite a job to be honest.

Anyway, I think I need to do an extra step, and that is with the graphical timetable identifying which series show up at what time. That's to spread the traffic over the hour, so to speak.

That will be a extensive job as well, but can be done.

But in general how I see it now is, that 5 levels can be defined:

1. Expert - All trains (full timetable)

2. Experienced - All trains, except the very irregular (long distance services), and excluding S-Bahn series turning around in Hansaring

3. Easy 1 - Some train series with a regular pattern, including S-Bahn trains which do not turn around, excluding most irregular (long distance services)

4. Easy 2 - Train series with a regular pattern, excluding all S-Bahn trains, excluding most irregular (long distance services)

5. Starter - Some train series with a regular pattern, no S-Bahn trains

With some luck levels 3,4 and 5 could give you your 20/25 trains per hour.

The list below is the train series I identified. Yes, the list does not cover all trains, before you tell me ;-)

Empty stock movements are left out on purpose.
