Freight can ride with advance on timetable

I ask if Nopileos can study to introduce in timetable a random advance on timetable for freight trains.

Another request for future.

Is possible to receive from the line supervisor (i dont know the exact name in Germany for this railman, in Italy he is named "Dirigente Centrale" and translation is "Chief of line circulation" an order to stop freight trains as yard where these train are direct can receive them ? For example an intermodal train from Italy to Koln Eifeltor that has not track to be received in Koln Eifeltor so this collegue ask me to keep the train a certain amount of time in my station.

Thanks

Functionality as such that freight trains will continue their journey ahead of the timetable is already part of the discussion.

Signalsoft is looking for the possibilities to implement that.

However, what you are asking for is something different, and that is that trains enter the simulation earlier then planned. In other words, a negative delay ;-)

Something like that would also something that you should be functionally implemented in the simulation. Which makes me think though.

Each train can be provided with a factor which makes the decide which amount of delay will be applied to that train.

What if these parameters would allow 'negative values' as such that trains will arrive earlier then scheduled.

In other words: the logic for what you are asking for might be already there. Let's see what Richard and/or Charlie can say about this.

(technically: I am talking about the lambda factors 'DelayLambdaWorkDays' and 'DelayLambdaWeekend' here)

Another request for future.

For sure, communication from within the Supervisor application is not present yet. But as the Supervisor app can only run, if at least one person is running the simulation, there are two options:

- one of the dispatchers on the line also takes the role as Line Supervisor (Dirigente Centrale); the Line Supervisor provides his instructions via fax or telephone module within the sim

- someone else, just running the Line Operations/Supervisor app, acts as Dirigente Centrale and talks to 'his' dispatchers by means of Skype, MSN etc

So with some fantasy the functionality is already there

Hi Diego,

if you start the timetable 2012 at tuesday all freighttrains will drive. At the other days it is possible that a freighttrain will drive although he stands at this day not in the printable timetable. This simulated a demandtrain and will only show inside the simulation.

I think i use at this time all options which the timetable will enable.

Which reminds me: there is already the possibility to let trains enter the simulation earlier then originally scheduled. The only things is that you have to do it yourself.

Click right in the train overview window in the section of the "upcoming trains" on the train which you want to arrive earlier. There you can choose how many minutes you want to the train to differ from its originally scheduled time
