intallonabile Posted May 16, 2013 Posted May 16, 2013 When i set a route on panel (with or without points moving) is there a sound that confirm execution ? I ask this because in Expert options there is an option for this but on my PC always it remain mute Diego
TjoeTjoe Posted May 16, 2013 Posted May 16, 2013 This feature is only applicable/effective for the Dutch simulations at the moment, as far as I know.As all available simulations are based on the same simulation engine, this (and more) option is available but does not have a function in the Sp Dr S 60 sims. Erwin
signalsoftRC Posted May 16, 2013 Posted May 16, 2013 The problem with the "beep" in German simulation is that after the button presses for a route, we're NOT sure that we're actually getting a route... We're sure about 8-10 seconds later, when the route is actually building up. And you don't want to hear a beep 10 secs later.... We provide feedback that the button presses were accepted with the two green rings shortly lighting up if the button press was correct (but eventually might NOT lead to a route!) We could "beep" there, but that would be inconsistent with the dutch layouts. the Dutch interlocking system, knows immediately after the end button press, if a route would be successful or not. Otherwise it would come in at all. As we cannot show rings there to confirm the button press, we have the "beep"....
intallonabile Posted May 17, 2013 Author Posted May 17, 2013 in Italy for each route there is only a button, so when i set a route, if route is possible and no switches and no Railroad crossings must move i have only a short buzzer sound when signal is open. In other case there are buzzer for points moving , after for RR Crossing barriers moving down, after when barriers are locked a short more strong buzzer and finally the route sound when signal open. We have an other feature, not present in German stellwerke, when train pass signal and it became red stellewerke works a control about integrity of signal lamp and put it off for one second (red signal light become off) and buzzer sounds in this short period. And in Italy we have another strange thing named "Leopolder" Is a ringing bell near dispatcher office that rings for all time that entrance signal is open and indicate that an entrance signal is not at red . Some times ago i worked in a big stations with 7 entrance signals and so in strong traffic moments in morning and evening was a spectacular moment with 7 dring dring dring sounds for minutes and minutes !!!! ciao Diego
TjoeTjoe Posted May 17, 2013 Posted May 17, 2013 So what's the idea behind this "Leopolder" thing. Reminding the dispatcher that he has set an entrance route into the station, with the entrance signals being Clear (being: not red?) Well in that case, if Signalsoft will produce Italian based simulation I really would like to have an "Leopolder to off" -setting. Guess they do not have Leopolder in Milano, do they. There the bell will never be quite I guess. The station you're talking about, is that Genova by accident? Erwin
intallonabile Posted May 17, 2013 Author Posted May 17, 2013 my friend Erwin not at Genova and not at milano Centrale, only in little stations leopolder is in use !!!!
Fdl_Wo Posted May 17, 2013 Posted May 17, 2013 I saw some of those "leopolders" (where does that name come from? Leopold?) on the Brennero route years ago. I always wondered what those bells are good for.....But I would go mad if several of those bells were ringing all day long....... Manfred
intallonabile Posted May 18, 2013 Author Posted May 18, 2013 Hallo Manfred, all ok in Wolfurt Stellwerke ? have a good week end Diego
intallonabile Posted May 18, 2013 Author Posted May 18, 2013 Manfred, i dont know the origin of "leopolder". For people on Signalsoft forum ineterested in italian stellwerke (all relais stellwerke named ACEI apparato centrale elettrico ad itinerari) here a good and simple manual born in an italian stellwerke friends forum http://www.google.it/url?sa=t&rct=j&q=&esrc=s&frm=1&source=web&cd=10&cad=rja&ved=0CIABEBYwCQ&url=http%3A%2F%2Fmastodonte.altervista.org%2Fdownload.php%3FID%3D11&ei=YTWXUYadHYrE4gSu84CwAg&usg=AFQjCNF8AH3pNr3cg7M3WNXHMUZOYlTuXw&sig2=zOzhHXHHbwmkVM9QMNgMLQ
Fdl_Wo Posted May 18, 2013 Posted May 18, 2013 Hallo Manfred, all ok in Wolfurt Stellwerke ? have a good week end Diego Yes, Diego. All is working well. Manfred
signalsoftRC Posted May 20, 2013 Posted May 20, 2013 Such "warning systems" are very common on smaller stations to warn any outside staff of incoming trains. Switzerland has still a couple of those. Pretty handy though!
intallonabile Posted May 20, 2013 Author Posted May 20, 2013 last year i went for holiday in Bellinzona and in station of Magadino Vira (single track line from Luino To Gottard there is still a big clock near the dispatcher office wall that play differebt sounds announcing direction and type for incoming trains. diego
