Signalling question

Featured Replies

Why in Andernach panel there is signal (in germany named Vorsignale) after main signal P2 (but the question can exist for all other starting signals towards Brohl) and the same thing is not on Weissenthurm side. On Weissenthurm panel block signal 41 has is own Vorsignale but why this vorsignale is not present also on KAND Panel. What is the criterium to put signals on panels ?

Thanks for the reply

Diego

I really do not know if I am correct on this, so just guessing:

It might be that it depends on if the distant signal (Vorsignal) is physically located within the Dispatching area belonging to i.e. Andernach or not

Interesting question though.

Thanks for your answer to my question. In effect i think that for Andernach dispatcher the presence on his panel of this "Vorsignale" may be a good aid because he can only see the occupation of first section of block towards KWEH and nothing other information are given about trains entering in KWEH dispatching area

if possible i have a finally question. In Italy the dispatcher has an additional screen (this feature is recent, on my line since year 2010) near his signal panel named CCL (Controllo circolazione linee) and he can see situation of trains near his station.in this case if i imagin to be in Italy the screen cover all block sections from Sinzig to Andernach and from Urmitz to Andernach. (two station after mine)

This feature is comprise in LEIDIS system or there is an additional feature as our CCL in Germany ?
