Meaning of little circle on track (light onn/off)

Please, i have noticed that the behaviour of these little circles is not the same for all tracks. Some routes from entrance signal to the bahnof track have all circle light when route is set others routes have not all circle light but only two of thrm , The same when tracks are occupied by train

this happen with tracks 7, 8 that seems different from others tracks (i.e track 1 2 3 and 4)
