Maniac302 Posted June 22, 2010 Posted June 22, 2010 I started a new game at 12:52, and the Locomotive D67, that was supposed to have been dropped off from train 770, is not in my yard. What's more, when I renamed a spare locomotive in my yard, and told him to go couple with the cars, and take over train D 67's role, he stopped on sp7 and wouldn't couple with the cars his movement orders told him to. I checked and double checked the numbers, he just won't connect with the cars he's ordered to.

It is possible that you are trying to connect a loco with cars which simply do not match The german manual sais: Mat'46, Mat'54, DE III have automatic couplers, all other have manual (Screw type). The VT11.5 of the TEE train has a special type of couplings. I could not find those infos in the english manual Another possibility is, that your loco is not free of a switch. There should be an option within the expert options to allow a train driver to execute shunting operations, if not free of switches. This should be enabled. To get "rid" of this problem, it is also a good idea, to start the sim just a few minutes earlier
Maniac302 Posted June 23, 2010 Author Posted June 23, 2010 I was wondering about the couplings last night, I'll have to look at that. I have the expert option enabled, as I've had issues with that in the past, and locos not being able to go back either, since I would get a "You sent a train back to a previous location without setting an opposite route" even with an opposite route set. Shouldn't the driver phone you up and tell you he can't connect?

He would not - because you sent him to that track with the signal showing him to proceed "on sight", but simply the cars are blocking him to procceed...
