Trains Do Not Disappear After Going To Betriebsbahnhof

Running Zentralstellwerk Koln Hbf (the original version, not the 2012 version) with timetable dated 07 July 2001 and a time of 1050hrs, I have noticed that two trains I sent to the Betriebsbahnhof (2-76289 and 1-11496) have not disappeared despite going onto their correctly allocated tracks in the yard. They still show in the 'Train Overview' window and are also present in the 'Dark Territory' window. Has anyone eles noticed this, is it a bug?

A few minutes later at 1100hrs I have train 1-703 ready to go to the Bbf. It is booked onto track Bbf 72 but train 2-76289 is already there as it has not disappeared after being sent to the Bbf at 1029hrs. When I offer train

1-703 to the Bbf supervisor he accepts it via track 357, but it is not possible to get from track 357 to track Bbf 72. Has anyone else had the Bbf supervisor accept trains via a track from where it is not possible to get to the booked stabling track?

Regards,

Phil.

Hi Phil,

I remember that one train going via the 70 tracks does not proceed to Bbf R5 but I'm not sure of the number.

Anyway, if this problem pops up be sure that the train has still its movement order to go to Bbf R 5 or Bbf R3. If this has gone create it again. If the movement order is still there make sure that no train is coming out of the Bbf on track R3 or R5 an then set the route or even the changes manually. (There is an entry like "working on shunting areas" in the headline menue.) With this action the trains should move at last.

In general, be sure not to send a train to quick after another. And also give the Bbf supervisor time enough to send his trains out in beetween.

Normally the Bbf supervisor takes the first train you offer him via track 005. If you offer a second train before the first one has stopped on its first position in the Bbf (e.g. Bbf 11 or 72) the supervisor takes the second train via track 356. And maybe the third one to 357. So take your time offering the trains.

If you want to change the offered track call the Bbf supervisor again and tell him that the train xxxxx will not come. After a while (see above) offer the train again.

If this option is not available in the dialogue menue there is another way that could help you. Change the movement orders of the train to a track that is reachable via 357 and set the routes or changes inside the Bbf manually.

I hope I could help you to solve your problems.

Hi Helmut,

Many thanks for your reply.

If I understand you correctly, trains going to the Bbf must go to Bbf R3/R5 before proceeding to their assigned stabling tracks, is that correct?

I started a new sim at 0945hrs. Train 22040 went to its assigned track and disappeared without a problem but train 11496 has not disappeared from track Bbf 15. I am not sure if it was assigned to go to R3 first so I will have a go at sending it there and see what happens. I will et you know how I get on and will look closely at the next few trains that go to the yard and see what their movement orders are.

I have noticed that the Bbf supervisor gets confused if you offer him too many trains too quickly. I have found that it is best to not give him too much work all at once!

Thanks again Helmut and Merry Christmas.

Regards,

Phil.

Hi Phil,

for your understanding.

All trains going to Bbf 11 - 20? have to proceed to Bbf R3 where they finally disappear. They should have the respective movement orders.

All trains starting their mission at Bbf 11- ... first pop up on track Bbf R3.

All trains going to Bbf 71 - 7x? have to proceed to Bbf R5 where they finally disappear. They also should have the respective movement orders.

All trains starting their mission at Bbf 71-... first pop up on track Bbf R5.

The tracks Bbf R3 and R5 are the bottlenecks. This sometimes causes some problems. For this reason in the version Köln Hbf 2012 a new movement order ("on track xx relinquish control of your train") for the incoming trains to the Bbf was created. In this version the incoming trains already disappear from track 11 - 20 or 71 - 7x.

Merry Christmas to you, too.

Regards

Helmut
