AndrewG Posted February 27, 2015 Posted February 27, 2015 Do these keyboard short cuts exist in reality or are they just added to make the simulation easier to operate? While I've used them successfully with my keyboard I haven't been able to replicate them by pressing the buttons on the keyboard entry window on the simulation itself. I have been able to use the keyboard entry window to set and clear cover signals as well as set routes to them but not both at the same time as per the steps below. or even faster, for the same examples as given above: Set 014 to Stop, set route from 315 to 014 : enter 315014 + [arrow down] + [arrow left] + [ENTER] Set 095 to Stop, set route from 240 to 095 : enter 240095 + [arrow down] + [arrow right] + [ENTER]
TjoeTjoe Posted February 27, 2015 Posted February 27, 2015 It is indeed a make-thing-easier thing as far as I know. The fast way should work though, so wondering why it is not working for you, when you enter the given examples whilst the focus is on the number entry
AndrewG Posted February 28, 2015 Author Posted February 28, 2015 It does work for me - the query is whether the short cut in italics is limited to the simulation as I haven't been able to replicate it using the keyboard buttons in the simulation itself.
TjoeTjoe Posted February 28, 2015 Posted February 28, 2015 By keyboard buttons in the simulation you mean the buttons on the Number Entry Panel window itself? Then the answer is No. The shortcuts with arrow down + arrow left is just a fast way of doing the following on the Number Entry Panel * 014 + HaGT + ZT1 * 315014 + ZT1 + ATK
signalsoftRC Posted February 28, 2015 Posted February 28, 2015 The number entry is more or less standard in the sim for every sim. Cologne HAS a button to do that what you do with the arrow down button. Cologne has also the alt 1-0 option to get frequent or special routes set. The sim is limited to a keyboard on the pc.... That's the actual limit.
