Level Crossing Woes

Howdy All,

Just how do you open a level crossing after it has been closed?

I have train 2335 broken down before signal 951.

I cancelled 951 and locked it.

I pushed the BUHFT button and the Level Crossing button but no joy.

I also pushed the ASpT button to cancel automatic closing and then tried the BUHFT again but still no joy.

Help desperately needed and appreciated..

revoke a route first (for the 1 and 2 crossing)

ensure no route is set towards it (for the other crossings). You might need to place signals at stop first and then press the ZbHT to get the square lock light off at that signal. (Be VERY careful with that)

Only then you can open the crossing with BÜHFT.

I'm afraid it still does not do it for me.

I placed a stop on 951.

Locked 951.

Pushed ZbHT and 951 to get rid of the square light (counter increases by 1)

Pushed BUHFT and level crossing button (counter increases by 1) nothing happens.

(No other route is set on the opposite track)

Square light comes back on by itself but it doesn't matter how many times I put it off.

then your neighbour has send a train towards you.... (when he sets a route out of his station, it triggers the square light to come on)

Still no satisfaction for me. I have stopped trains being sent but the gates stay down. If they want to persist in crossing the tracks when the gates are down they can suffer the consequences.

mmm... I still think there's a route set over it. the BÜFHT only works if there's no route set over it.

(reason being that you cannot open a rr-crossing when possibly a signal is cleared towards it.)
