Good evening all the forum

I have a question. After last update (My version is 2.2.0.6) all freight trains coming from or direct to K Eifeltor have 30 km/speed (very slow) when they are in Gleis 003 and 004 (even when they are only on gleis and not on points 32 33 and 35.

Is this low speed normal in these track

This should not be normal. In reality, trains from Eifeltor to Brühl via track 3 (and vice versa via 4) can pass Kalscheuren at 100 km/h.

yeah, they're accelerating from "slow".... as "Eifeltor" is not in the simulation yet.

But I might check a speed entry there as well...

On the other side... the driver might be allowed to go the speed by the signals, but he also can decide to go slower.... but not ALL trains should do that.

you might also want to look at:

Richard, Koln is too difficult for me. I'm a countryside signalman !!

we'll show you and explain you how it works... almost live... with the same viewer, but with sound added. Ok? :-)

you'll love it!

I would be more than happy to record some examples on how to operate Koln Hbf and do some voice-over works in either Dutch and/or English, as long as you promise that sound will be disabled when the TeachingTool is on 2x, 4x etc. speed.

Otherwise, on faster playback speeds, one would sound like he has just inhaled a bottle of Helium

@qduar

really, initially you will have to learn (a lot) on how to operate Koln Hbf and sure you'll make mistakes. On the other hand, that's the fun part of simulation. You may make mistakes, you can just start over and try again.

But believe me, you'll learn fast. Even I did ;)

Hi Tjoe Tjoe,

I would be interested in having a look at an English demonstration. I promise to only play it at normal speed...backwards ;)

If it isn't any trouble it looks interesting.

Thanks,

Graham

Allright, didn't see that one coming. But no problem, that only means that I have to do the voice recording (forward) in Russian.

Then in backwards playback mode it will sound perfectly English ... with a heavy countryside accent I am afraid B)

No, not at all. While Richard will be busy to add the sound feature, I will prepare myself by watching The Best of Amazing Mike's Tell Sell programms (Home Shopping TV) and get ready for a proper demo in English.

I think the best demo is to have it with a strongly reduced timetable, so showing just a view trains, but on the other hand showing all the key features of this amazing new upcoming simulation.

Believe it or not, with a few tips and trics, anyone will be able to operate Koln Hbf.

So let's wait for the sound feature, and we will see if we can get an English spoken demo ready at short notice
