Stolberg line.

Featured Replies

Hi. I am having repeated troubles with trains going to and from Stolberg.

As far as I can understand this is a single track line and can be occupied by only one train at a time, even though it has several stopping stations and takes awhile to complete.

So, all the while there is a train on the line it shows as occupied and no other train can enter that line.

Therefore I do not understand why the timetable often gives you 2 trains with overlapping schedules on that line when it is not possible.

Also I have often had trains coming from Aachen who want to head to Stolberg, needing them to wait for several minutes as the line is occupied.  Where do you hold them as they are blocking the main line?

In reality, is it the same train that enters the Stolberg line that comes back?

Strange. There might be some faulty situations with respect to the timetable, but you are suggesting that this is a common issue.

Personally, I have not seen such issues. For that reason I would like to know on which date and time you are running the simulation.

Additionally, are you playing with delays or any other features?

Yes (read: As per the situation when this simulation has been built)

Hi littlepe,

thank you for the screenshots, I can see the problem there:

You have enabled the "extra train"-function (Sonderzüge) in the settings panel. This will randomly generate special trains, that are copies of scheduled trains. You can identify the special trains by the "66___"-numbers. These trains are not in the regular schedule and will block other trains. To disable this function, go to "Settings" - "Simulation" - "Ereignisse" and make sure that the "Chance for special trains" lever is set to minimum position:
