Nordgleis Route Does Not Cancel From Saved Sim

Started a saved sim at 1927hrs (sim time) with train 4692 approaching along the Nordgleis from Rottendorf, when 4692 clears  the Nordgleis at Wurzburg the Gl.329 direction arrow remains red and locked. I cannot send a train along the Nordgleis to Rottendorf.

The next train from Rottendorf cleared the locked route arrow, but I did have to talk the train past 24NI signal and I needed to use the ErsGT button to get the train past 933 and 935 signals on subsidiary aspects.

Hi Phil,

all simulation have problems with continuing a saved game if you have saved it at an unpropitious moment. That is eg. when an overlap route is still set while the train has already arrived at the platform or when a single track with direction arrows like the Nordgleis is still occupied by a leaving or already occupied by an arriving train.

So, when saving a sim you should be sure that a leaving train has completely disappeared (watch the train overview for this) or has not been announced by the neighbour (even if you don't see it in the train overview). When a train is announced, an internal clock starts to run that lets the train appear after a short while. It seems that this "running clock" cannot be saved. The same happens with the release of overlap routes.

Hi Helmut,

I have had problems with direction arrows and overlaps in other sims too. I will avoid making saves when a train is on the Nordgleis or when there is an overlap lit.

Thank you for explaining how the internal clock works when a train is offered, it allows me to better understand how the sim is working in the background.

Phil
