a signal question

i'm reading the eisenbahnatlas SCHWEERS+WALL page 75. Andernach is at km 73.2 and Weissenthurm at km 76.9. If i look at Andernach stellwerke toward south to the right there is only a block section (41) with main signal and separate distant signal (the same situation for train coming from Weissenthurm to Andernach on left track).

Instead for trains on right track coming from Weiss to andernach there are 2 block section (40 and 42 and all signals have main and distant signal on the same plate)

If normally main signal and distant signal are 1000 mt. of distance this can be right (km 73,2 + 1000mt + 1000mt + meters beetween main signal of Weissenthurm and Weissenthurm bahnof). To the south all is ok.

But if i look at north side i dont understand. If the first station is Brohl, Brohl is at km 65.7. and for trains coming toward north on the right track there are only 2 block section (38 and 36 with distant signal i think). In this case two section are at maximum 3600/4000 mt but and not 7500 meters as distance from Andernach to Brohl.

Please Richard. help me to understand this

Thanks

Has to do with the future "Line Operations" of the sims. We're preparing them to be linked up to each other.

The train descriptors you see are actually on the panel and do NOT belong to the Andernach Box. Though as not to have to change the Andernach Panel, we've "added" the train descriptor tracks to the Andernach Box... otherwise they would stay dark and the train would 'pop up" in the middle.

You'll see that effect even more when we release Remagen and Bonn Bad Godesberg. You'll see in Bonn Hbf that the most left train descriptors will actually show what is in the sim of Bad Godesberg.

(It's a bit similar a the train descriptors from Koeln-Nippes/Chorweiler (524 526 528 530)

OK RIchard if i well understand on Andernach panels toward North not all block section are represented but only half sections. Which improvements will be introduced in the incoming update and if possible to ask, there is a date for update relase ?

Thanks as always for yours reply

All block sections are represented, but in real life most of them are NOT of the area of Andernach, but partially from Brohl Station.

What's new in Andernach:

- group buttons on the panel (like in Gelsenkirchen and Huerth and Cologne)

- different way of stabling track 10-15

- some minor changes and bugfixes.
