yplace Posted September 16, 2011 Posted September 16, 2011 Hello, all, I've just updated to v.2.3.0.60 (Sept. 15th 2011) of Zentralstellwerk Köln Hbf., and there seems to be a bug I haven't noticed on the previous version. Steps to repro: Start a new simulation any time; create a route from signal P123 to track 141 in Hansaring. Expected result: The route is created and signal P123 opens to Hp Clear + Vr Caution. Actual result: The route is created and signal P123 flashes between Hp Danger and Hp Clear + Vr Caution. A train on track 123 won't proceed. Or is it just me? Or is it something I don't quite clearly understand in German signals? Cheers - Yannick.
signalsoftRC Posted September 16, 2011 Posted September 16, 2011 yep.. my error... happens ONLY in the release version.. not in my debug version... silly. will be solved in version .61. Out in a couple of mins.
yplace Posted September 16, 2011 Author Posted September 16, 2011 Thanks so much. By the way, is it OK to report such issues in this forum? Have a nice day, -Yannick.
TjoeTjoe Posted September 16, 2011 Posted September 16, 2011 Thanks so much. By the way, is it OK to report such issues in this forum? Have a nice day, -Yannick. Yes, it is OK to report issues on the forum. In fact, that's mostly what visitors do here: First check if it is just them who think there is a problem or not. And on the other hand: not all 'reported' issues are issues. For example, like you don't quite clearly understand the German signals (just kidding). There will be always things in the simulation that someone just doesn't know and thus that he things there is an issue. Now a real example ( ). Like setting routes to track without electrification (overhead wires) do require pressing FfrT tothether with signal buttons. I someone is not aware of that, and thus doesn't press the FfrT, he might think that there is something wrong. So in other words: feel free to post your possible issues. The Signalssoft Team and many of the forum user are more than happy to have a look at your possible issues and help you where needed. Of course, if it is a real issue, it's only the Signalsoft team that can actually fix it Erwin
signalsoftRC Posted September 16, 2011 Posted September 16, 2011 Try version 2.0.3.62... Visual Studio sometimes plays a trick... (you change the code but it then doesn't make it into the release version... grrr) the .62 doesn't have the flipping signal. And YES thanks for those posts. With those kind of repros, we can really quickly find an issue and solve it.
yplace Posted September 16, 2011 Author Posted September 16, 2011 Try version 2.0.3.62... [...] Excellent. I confirm that the issue is fixed in v.'62. Thanks for your quick reaction.
