pblanksb
Starting the timetable at 0001hrs, train 4000 approaches from Velp at around 0310hrs. I clear signal 274 but the train stops there and will not proceed any further. I started a new sim at 0215 and when train 4000 appears the same thing happens. All previous trains from Velp have run without any problem, is this a known bug? Regards, Phil.
pblanksb
Update:- I don't know what made me try this course of action, but I cleared signals 270 and 210 (route now set all the way from 274 signal to Arnhem), and train 4000 started to move! Very strange! Regards, Phil.
TjoeTjoe
Read the manual Phil Is this 4000 train a freight train. There is a steep climb towards Arnhem from that direction. There is a special signal for heavy freight trains near signal 274. It orders heavy freight trains to stop there, if there is no full route set all the way into Arnhem. pblanksb
Yes Erwin, it was a freight train. A little local knowledge goes a long way, I didn't realise there was a steep climb just there. Having bought this sim a few years ago (my first from Signalsoft as it happens) and not run it for some time, I need to reaquaint myself so I will indeed read the manual! Regards, Phil. signalsoftRC
Youre not the first real dispatcher, that yells at the driver and being embarrassed. .... Lovely feature...
